‘Magic Mike XXL’ Bi Channing Tatum and Wife Jonah Hill News: Demands Oscar for Fat Baby [RUMORS]

Magic Mike XXL bi-sexual stripper Channing Tatum surprised many by recently admitting in the news that he considered himself a highly functioning alcoholic, but you might be more shocked to hear that Jonah Hills on-screen wife is even hopping to get an Oscar. Rumor has it that Tatum is looking to pick up an academy award nomination--not for losing the tons of baby fat before filming 22 Jump Street--for his upcoming performance as Olympic wrestler Mark Schultz in Foxcatcher. If Channing Tatum isn't taken seriously in his new dramatic role, he can always fall back on the ridiculous ones he already has lined up. The Dear John star says he is super-close to shoring up the deal to play Marvel's Gambit not only in the next X-Men movies, but also in his few standalone films like the abominable X-Men Origins: Wolverine.

Just because he likes to party doesn't mean Channing Tatum doesn't know how to take his work seriously.

To the contrary, an insider on the set of Channing's soon to be released project Foxcatcher told Star that, Tatum's focus as an actor was downright menacing:

"He yearns to be taken seriously, so he really got into character.

"One day Channing improvised crashing his forehead through a mirror...He sliced his head was pretty bad, but that didn't stop him.

"Then he punched himself in the head- -it was the most insane thing I've ever seen an actor do.

"By the end of the film he was badly beaten up, but once he finally come out of character, he said the pain will be worth it if he wins an Oscar!"

Not that Channing is one to dwell to long on any project too long after he completes it.

In an interview with MTV Tatum said he was just about all signed up to play the next Gambit--in what he pictured to be at least a string of several movies:

"I've been pretty vocal about wanting to be the part of Gambit for a very long time...It's a weird, pinching-myself moment that we're even having the conversation.

"We've talked about it being a standalone, first, and actually trying to change the 'hero, superhero movie.' Because Gambit is not your typical hero. He's a thief. He walks on the gray. I'm hoping we can change it a little bit, and then ultimately feather into the other ones."

But that being said, it's not like you should expect the studio to get that out any time too soon; Tatum said it is almost impossible getting anything done in the Marvel universe:

"The machine of the Marvel world is so ginormous that it's literally like climbing a mountain, getting one of these movies made, and all of the pieces that go along with it."
