Do you remember the days when “same Bat-Time,” meant same Bat-Time? Clock King and Calendar Man have apparently teamed up to take down all things DC. First Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice was delayed by two years, and now it looks like Batman: Arkham Knight has been pushed back for until 2015. That is right! There are bound to be a lot disappointed little Bat-Fans this Christmas morning. According to the new Batmobile Battle Mode trailer, the Xbox One and PS4 release won't be coming out this October. No new release date (beyond the vague 2015) or reasons for the delay have been issued, however, the trailer does promise addition details at E3 2014.
DC Comics sure does know how to frustrate the mess our of its fans. For the last years Rocksteady has been working on the game Batman: Arkham Knight. They even let WB Games take over the series so they could devote all their time to it.
Rocksteady co-founder and Arkham trilogy (Asylum/City/ Knight) recently spoke to Game Informer about why they let WB Games develop Arkham Origins:
"I think for us the main thing was being able to make [Arkham Knight],We knew we needed the time to make this game. It was going to be three years of development, so that meant a long time without an Arkham game. I think that was a decision for Warner Bros., not for us."
Game delays are not uncommon and almost everyone would agree that they would rather have a game a free of bugs a little later than one that dosn't work 100%. However, it would be nice if they waited to tease the games until they had all the issues fixed.
