Tim Tebow Returns to NFL? Retired Christian QB Training For Next Season? [RUMORS]

Have you heard the one about pro football's biggest distraction trying to get back in the game? Yeah that's a funny joke about Tim Tebow. You know who started the rumor about Tim Tebow's return from the NFL? Tim Tebow. The kind of retired Christian QB hasn't played ball in two years, mainly because he was widely regarded as a fluke who couldn't capably run a professional offensive scheme. But that hasn't stopped him from training for next season... even if that's not next season.

The naturally gifted Tebow is a great athlete, and a fierce competitor. But he has been absent from the NFL for over two years and that's largely due to his unreliable grip on coverages and overall poor judgement so training should be the least of his worries. Yet still he trains (via NBC Sports):

"'I'm training every day and feel like I'm the best that I've ever been,' Tebow said. 'I still love it, love playing, talking about it, and I'm just excited about whatever the future holds. Who knows what could happen? But I'm excited about it, though.'

"Tebow last played as an NFL starter in 2011. He last completed a pass on Nov. 18, 2012. Assuming he doesn't end up getting a shot at an NFL gig between now and the start of next season, he's staring at more than two full years of no NFL action."

Most experts believe he is done in the NFL, and should keep his job as an analyst for SEC Football (NBC Sports):

"If Tebow really wants to play football again, he'd have a shot of catching on somewhere in the Arena Football League or the Canadian Football League. But Tebow has shown no interest in that."
