Get Ready for Mortal Kombat X! The classic fighting game franchise is coming the next gen consoles Xbox One and The Playstation 4. An official trailer for the new title has been released ahead of next week’s E3 2014 presentation. The video shows a battle between Mortal Kombat staples Scorpion and Sub-Zero that ends in a bloody Fatality. Check out the official game announcement trailer below to see who wins.
A brief synopsis for the game released along with the trailer [Via IGN], reads:
“Fueled by next-gen technology, Mortal Kombat X combines unparalleled, cinematic presentation with dynamic gameplay to create an unprecedented Kombat experience.”
More details on the new game are expected at the upcoming 2014 E3 video game expo. Meanwhile, series co-creator Ed Boon has teased some of the games details when he retweeted on his followers theories:
“RT @MKKI_CDjr I'm calling it now next MK will have weapons like mk4 or something related any1 wanna bet? EB: Somebody take this fool's bet!”
The tenth instalment in the franchise, aptly titled Mortal Kombat X will the be the first one on the next gen consoles, Xbox One and Playstation 4. However, it is not known at this time if the game will be released on the Xbox 360 and Playstation 3.
