ABC Resurrection Season 2 cast member Omar Epps has known Scary Movie comedian Marlon Wayans since the pair attended high school together. In a recent interview with Arsenio Hall, the View skirt crasher recapped an incident where he and Marlon almost got in trouble during a foiled juice robbery. Omar thinks of himself more as a product to market, than an actor to hire. Epps says he dreams of marketing is career, the way that Coke market "happiness."
Before Omar Epps was an actor on ABC Resurrection he was just a did in L.A. trying testing the boundaries of what would and would be tolerated, just like every other high school kid.
During a recent chat with talk show host Arsenio Hall, Omar told an interesting story about a time he went shopping with his high school bestie Marlon Wayans and crew (via Yahoo):
"So many years ago...[sic] we was all in the store--me, Marlon and our other boy, Mitch.
"You know...young kids from the hood. We tried to get a five finger discount...I had the five finger discount.
"But the dude kind of had the drop on me...so he was arguing with me and I was like, 'I don't know what you're talking about. What a younger brother can't come in to this store?'
"You know we turned it into a color thing. And then they wouldn't let us out the store.
"So I pulled the juice out...And I went to school the next day and Marlon had told everybody.
"It was painful then, but it's funny now."
These days Omar has developed some more mature schemes to help him get ahead.
The 40-year-old actor recently partnered with Darren "Daz" McColl, SapientNitro's Global Chief Brand Strategy Officer and author of the new marketing book Storyscaping.
In an interview with Internet Week, Epps tries to explain the grand plan behind their new projects together (via Metro):
"Being friends [with McColl], we've had many conversations about how to advertise a market. I come from my side of the fence and he comes from his side, so for me to see the book come together, it all makes sense
"I don't know if it's something unique in terms of how the world has changed. I mean Coca Cola's a marketing company. They don't really sell soda, you know?"
Then what in the hell is in all those bottles?
