Rumors abound that Sex and the City feet and shoes aficionado Sarah Jessica Parker and her marriage to Ferris Bueller Broadway Producer Matthew Broderick is very near divorce. They survived the pitfalls of Matt's cheating scandal a few years ago, but things have reportedly been in a funk ever since. Now that all the attention has died down the NYC socialites are said to be considering a split. Adding insult to injury Sarah Jessica Parker dashed the dreams of middle-aged girls everywhere when she announced that Sex and City 3 hadn't been cancelled because it doesn't even exist.
17-years is an incredibly long time for any two people be married, these days, so there would be no shame for Matthew Broderick and Sarah Jessica Parker if they finally decided to call it quits; an idea they have supposedly be mulling over for quite a little while.
A relationship insider told OK! Magazine that after years of trying to make it work for the camera, the old friends are wondering if they wouldn't be happier performing this living play with someone else:
"The care about each other deeply because of their long history, but they're grown apart.
"[They] have so little in common that on the rare occasion they are home alone, they're usually in separate rooms...sitting in silence.
"Both know that people are whispering behind their backs.
"It's really heartbreaking...They've started to have discussions about calling it quits."
Sadly, it isn't just Sarah Jessica's NYC run with Matthew that might be over for ever; the near 50 Parker told the Wall Street Journal, that she really didn't see another Sex and the City movie being very compatible with her present schedules:
"It's not that I'm inhospitable (to the idea).
"We just haven't felt it's the right time to talk about it...There is a third story, but whether or not we tell it has never been discussed."
Well...it looks like this is the year that all of Sarah Jessica Parker's longest relationships are going to be coming to an end.
After she divorces Matthew it looks like Carrie Bradshaw is going to be next.
