MAJOR SPOILER ALERT: Things got a little rough for Oliver Queen during the second season of Arrow. Over the course of the CW series The Green Arrow has lost his best friend, his father, his mother and his city has been all but destroyed twice. Now it is starting to look like The Emerald Archer will have to go head to head with his little sister Thea Queen (Merlin). However, there might be one bright spot in Ollie’s life...Felicity. Now Stephen Amell is opening up about what is in store for Ollicity in Season 3.
During the Arrow Season 3 finale fans got a small taste of what it would be like if Olliver and Felicity hooked up. However, this was just a ploy to get close to Slade. Now Stephen Amell has opened up Entertainment Weekly about why he can’t really have a relationship with Felicity:
“Think back to what Oliver said in the sixth episode, which is, ‘Because of what we do, I can’t be with someone I could really care about,’ and I think that that remains true. So I don’t necessarily think that it was a total bait-and-switch.”
Ollie’s old enemy Malcolm Merlin has come back to Starling City and he has set his sights on Thea Queen. Ollie’s sister Thea is really Malcolm's daughter. Amell also spoke about losing his siter:
“Based on the fact that Oliver has lost both his mother and his father, Thea’s going to be incredibly important to him, so if she’s not what he expects, that’s going to be really difficult for him to deal with.”
