Chris Sale Call Me Maybe Carly Rae Jepsen Dance After Rain Delay, White Sox Change-Up

25 year old lefty Chris Sale is looking good for the Chicago White Sox this year, both on the mound and on the dance floor. Sale was recently spotted grooving to Carly Rae Jepsen's "Call Me Maybe". And with a new change-up in his pitching arsenal, he's looking better than ever. Well, except for this week's rain delay which precipitated his early removal. (No pun intended. You can trust me.)

Tuesday night's victory over the Cleveland Indians was messy. Not because they didn't play well; a 2 hour rain delay was the culprit. Starter Chris Sale looked good though (via CSN Chicago):

"Sale was outstanding again but even he couldn't outlast a 1-hour, 58-minute rain delay in between the third and fourth innings.

"'Usually when you get over the 45-minute mark it's tough to go back out there,' Sale said. 'Once we got to 45, 50 minutes I knew I wasn't going back out there.'

"... Sale needed only 40 pitches to retire nine of the first 10 batters he faced, including four strikeouts."

Part of Sale's continued success has been due to his expanded use of an improved change-up. After essentially being a two-pitch pitcher for the first few years of his career Sale has augmented his fastball and slider with some off-speed stuff (via Sun Times):

"'It's an effective pitch, and it's a big part of his repertoire now,'' Yankees manager Joe Girardi said after Sale dominated the Yanks with a one-hit outing over six innings Thursday. 'It neutralizes the right-handed hitters as well.'''

Sale's new moves on the mound fit nicely with his recent dance floor efforts. He was recently spotted killing it to Carly Rae Jepsen's "Call Me Maybe" (via Bleacher Report):

"'We're going to speculate that whatever is in the large glass Sale is holding may have something to do with his uninhibited performance, but it doesn't matter... It's still a thing of beauty.'"
