Baby mama drama once again descends onto the world of professional sports. Amidst rumors of Detroit Lions receiver Golden Tate cheating with Russell Wilson's ex, Calvin "Megatron" Johnson has some troubles of his own. Taking his current girlfriend along for a scheduled visit with his child (unwise move, sir) angered Shallyn Blanton, the child's mother. In response Johnson's girlfriend subsequently threatened to "molly wop" his baby mama.
Not only did girlfriend Britney McNorton's presence violate the terms of Johnson and Blanton's custody agreement, but according to Blanton, McNorton was also causing a disturbance (via TMZ):
"Blanton claims Brittney (who works for the Lions organization) got all up in her face with the cell phone, so she tried to move Brit's hand -- and that's when Brit 'leapt from the car screaming that she was going to 'molly wop yo ass!'
"For the record, 'Molly Wop' - 'To reach waaay back with your pimp hand, damn near knocking oneself off balance to deliver a massive blow with an inside closed fist to the temple of your hoe or foe.'"
Reportedly the police officer had to look up Molly Wop in UrbanDictionary.com. Some of them are even more misogynistic than the first one.
Britney McNorton, at least for now, is also employed by the Lions' front office (NBC Sports)
"According to the team's official website, McNorton serves as the team's Manager of Partner Activation. Whatever the position was previously known as informally within the building, there's a good chance that, from this point forward, it will be known as the 'molly wop' job."
So for now that probably means no one is planning a big joint Christmas dinner. If they change their minds they can play a rousing game of "Molly Wop"
