Tuesday night during the Cubs game rapper 50 Cent aka Curtis Jackson III appeared to throw out the ceremonial first pitch. He literally missed by about 50 feet as the ball slipped out of his hand and the errant throw almost took out a photographer. The fail went viral immediately and even 50 had to laugh, despite a good warmup where he was apparently able to throw strikes.
Known for dropping beats and not for literal balling, Jackson's throw was "just a bit outside" to quote the movie Major League. He handled it with grace, though, laughing it off and signing autographs (via ESPN):
"50 Cent responded to the stir the wayward pitch caused on social media, posting on his Instagram account later: 'I'm a hustler not a Damn ball player. LMAO.'
"Wearing a Mets jersey with No. 50 and the name Jackson on the back, 50 Cent, whose real name is Curtis Jackson III, held a bat as he posed for pictures with Curtis Granderson and other Mets on the field during batting practice."
At least the world can see that he can throw straight. TMZ shared footage of Jackson warming up and his delivery was on the mark (via TMZ):
"Here it is ... PROOF ... that 50 Cent's arm isn't as terrible as it seemed during his legendarily awful first pitch at Tuesday's Mets game.
"Just before he took the mound at Citi Field and threw a pitch so terrible, even Gary Dell'Abate had to laugh at it ... 50 was warming up the bullpen and displayed some pretty decent accuracy."

Even if his warm-ups were good it's a whole different beast when you're out there under the lights with thousands of screaming fans watching you. Wait... 50 Cent is on stage every night doing that!
Well it's still different so cut him a break.
