Beauty & The Beast is back! The CW series returns with the second half of Season 2 this Monday June 2. The series escaped the near cancellation, receiving a mid-season renewal for next season. Check the synopsis below to see what is store for the new episode premiere. Fans of Star-Crossed and The Tomorrow People are in for a disappointment. Both the show’s were canceled following their freshmen series.
The official plot synopsis for the all new episode of Beauty & The Beast, titled "Beast is the New Black," reads:
“Cat must clear Vincent's name after he is arrested for murder.”
The CW is coming off of one its best seasons yet. However, not every show made the cut. The Tomorrow People and Star-Crossed were both canceled.
We recently reported on the, than unconfirmed, cancellations. One of our readers Deon Evans offered their thoughts on the CW’s renewal process in our comments section, writing:
“The thing about CW is they don't keep shows that have such a creative touch to it.. They like to keep what's trending in fear of starting the trend. What's hot right now is Vampires and Teen Dramas & not the mention the all american super hero. Why get rid of something so good. I am a fan of all three The Tomorrow People, Star Crossed, and The 100. They all bring something different in TV as we know it. Star Crossed is more than just a show about Alien love. It's about the ignorance of today's society not accepting things that are different. Things of that nature still go on today Homosexuality & Race. It's REAL. Vampires as far as our knowledge is concerned isn't. Though I am a fan of The Vampire Diaries! Even so The Tomorrow People! The fear of one race or super race overpowering the other & the fight to co exist. Because truth is we are all humans. CW really needs to rethink the idea of canceling either show... There are not many unique shows out there..Thus leaving me to re watch old tv shows.. or hunt for the few good shows left in the world.. None of which are on the CW. Be the change!”
