After making some critical comments about his former team back in January, retired NBA Robert Horry received some stern words of his own this week. The ex-Laker is being sued by a physical therapist who claims he is owed money by Horry. Big Shot Rob has not commented on the controversy thus far.
Torrance Earle is suing Horry after Horry allegedly bought his business and retained his services in 2011, working on a payment plan. Earle alleges that after a while Horry failed to hold up his end of the bargain (via TMZ):
"In the suit, Earle claims Horry changed the name of the business to the Robert Horry Center for Sports and Physical Rehabilitation - and allowed him to continue working as a therapist.
"But Earle claims the relationship fell apart when Horry started missing payments and Earle demanded the remaining balance in one lump sum. Earle says a short time later, Horry fired him from the clinic and began trashing him to patients, employees and everyone else in town, ruining his reputation."
While Horry hasn't commented yet on the lawsuit, he had plenty to say back in January when he blasted members of his former team the Lakers following a fight on the court (via Lakers Nation):
"... [Horry] felt that the players on the floor should have come to the defense of Young in that situation... But given the Lakers roster situation and lack of depth, it's understandable why some guys would refrain from overreacting, as that could potentially lead to further consequences."
Sounds like Big Shot Rob needs to spend less time worrying about the Lakers and more time worrying about paying his bills on time.
What do you think? Is Robert Horry spending too much time criticizing the Lakers and not enough time running his business properly?
