The CW Renewed ‘100’ Show Final 3 New Episodes Preview: Ratings Drop After ‘Arrow’ Season Finale [SPOILERS]

There are only three episode of the first Season 1 of The 100. The hit CW series has already been renewed for a second season, however, the show’s ratings dropped after the Arrow season finale. Check the preview below to see what is in store for the new episode as well as some spoilers for the two-part season finale.

The official plot synopsis for tonight’s new episode, titled "The Calm" reads:

“With a low food supply at camp, Clarke and Finn lead a group out to hunt for food and wind up in a compromising position. With Finn's life in danger, Clarke makes a game-changing decision. Meanwhile, Raven makes Bellamy an offer he can't refuse. On the Ark, Kane risks his life and is reunited with Chancellor Jaha.”

The two-part Season 1 finale airs next week with the new episode,“We Are Grounders, Part 1.” The episodes plot preview states:

“Clarke and Finn escape one dangerous situation only to find themselves faced with a new enemy. Bellamy makes a heroic move to save Jasper. Raven faces a new danger, and Murphy finally gets his revenge. Meanwhile, those remaining on the Ark are coming to terms with the inevitable.”

Last week’s episode of The 100 was the show’s first episode without the Arrow lead-in. The show’s ratings dropped a few points to a season low. The latest episode brought in a 1.46 with the previous week bringing in a 1.73. The show was also competing agaist the season finale of Law & Order: SVU.

However, despite the ratings drop the show has already been renewed for a second season. CW President, Mark Pedowitz recently doted on the networks sucess, tellingTV Guide about the past season:

“It is actually our most-watched season since 2010-11. Our new hit series The Originals, paired with Supernatural on a new night, doubled our ratings year-to-year on Tuesday nights. The 100, which premiered at midseason, was our most-watched series premiere of the season and was the most-watched show in its time period in almost four years. And Reign has boosted the audience in its time period on Thursday nights.”

The all new episode of The 100 airs tonight at 9:00 p.m. on The CW.
