After Rihanna Feud, Charlie Sheen Sports Announcer at ESPN?

Charlie Sheen played ex-con pitcher in the Major League movies, but apparently he digs baseball in real life too. So much so that someone deemed him qualified to announce a ball game. The sports channel ESPN boldly allowed Charlie "Tiger Blood" Sheen free reign at a professional baseball game. It also seems that Sheen and pop star Rihanna are feuding!

In a move that can only yield dividends for bloggers and late night talk show hosts for years to come, Charlie Sheen was invited to announce the game between the Cincinnati Reds (Sheen is a lifelong fan) and the St. Louis Cardinals (via Cincinnati.com):

"About an hour before the Reds-Cardinals game, Sheen emerged from a tour bus outside the Crosley Terrace plaza at Great American Ball Park. Sheen, flanked by security guards as he walked, smiled and greeted fans who yelled 'Charlie!' and 'Wild Thing!' the latter a reference to Sheen's role in the movie Major League.

"Sheen stopped a couple of times and posed for a photo or two, and also signed some autographs."

By all accounts he performed capably and didn't say anything very offensive. Here's hoping he gets invited back to rectify those mistakes.

But calling baseball games isn't all Sheen's been up to. After calling out pop star Rihanna for being too good to meet his fiancée, RiRi blasted back calling him an old queen and that his diapers were in a bunch. Mr. Sheen replied with a poem (via TMZ):

"Dear Ms. Rihan-
oh wait, no last name,
Okay, Dear R -
clearly English is NOT
your primary language.

"Firstly I want to thank you for recognizing me as Royalty. I'm flattered.
And secondly;
do the good Queen a favor and go tend to the dungeon in my Castle.
But beware of the
rats and the snakes.
They stir with folly
awaiting your tepid advance,
in the shadows...

"later Doosh![sic]
