After being arrested a few weeks ago on public disturbance and resisting arrest, James Hardy III is back in jail again for missing his court date. The ex NFL player was arrested Sunday May 4 and stunned with a taser after becoming aggressive with police.
On Sunday May 4, police answered a disturbance call in Hardy's neighborhood and in the ensuing events got into an altercation with the cops (via Classicalite):
"The Incredible Hulk was subdued on Sunday by LA police officers... Just Kidding. But that's what it seemed like when a call of a disturbance brought police to ex-football player James Hardy III's downtown LA neighborhood. When he resisted arrest, injuring at least two cops in the attack, Hardy was stunned by a Taser."
Following the incident Hardy skipped his court date for felony resisting arrest so now he's in jail again for failure to appear (via TMZ):
"Hardy had bailed out immediately following the arrest ... but was later charged with felony resisting arrest (he pled not guilty) ... and was ordered to appear in front of a judge earlier this month.
"Problem is, he blew off the court date ... so the judge issued a bench warrant. Hardy turned himself in last week and has been behind bars ever since. He's due back in court next month."
It seems to be a domino effect. What started off as a simple disturbance call has snowballed into a big complicated affair. Maybe the taser fried Hardy's brain cells. Or maybe he got socked in the head. Or maybe his court date was on free scoop day at Ben and Jerry's. You don't want to miss free scoop day.
What do you think? Would you skip your court date for a free scoop of Ben and Jerry's?
