Floyd Mayweather, Justin Bieber Memorial Day Weekend Beatdown, Rapper T.I. Safe

It's a good thing Justin Beiber wasn't hanging out with best bud Floyd Mayweather this weekend. The champ was hanging out in a Las Vegas Fatburger when rapper T.I. approached him and tried to put a Memorial Day Weekend beatdown on Mayweather. While things escalated pretty quickly, we're all relieved that Beiber was safe and out of harm's way.

Mayweather and his entourage were reportedly enjoying some Fatburger when T.I. approached the champ and began talking trash (via TMZ):

"According to several witnesses ... Floyd was eating inside the restaurant when T.I. walked up and started jawing at Floyd.

"It's unclear what caused the beef, but we're told T.I. swung at Floyd ... their giant bodyguards jumped in to separate them ... and then the all out melee began.

"At one point you hear Floyd telling at T.I., 'control your b****.'"

What's really surprising is that Mayweather was at Fatburger. The ultra-fit world champion and notorious abuser seems like he only eats raw eggs and broccoli.

According to TMZ an employee suffered a gash in his side but refused to cooperate with authorities.

Fortunately for everyone's sake Justin Beiber wasn't there. While Floyd and the Beeb are known to be close both personally and as business partners, a Las Vegas Strip burger joint brawl is no place for a teen heartthrob.

But seriously folks, where was the Beeb? Probably off writing songs about his ex-girlfriend Selena Gomez (via Billboard):

"Recently Bieber has been teasing new work online, earlier this month posting a picture of him and Ariana Grande in the studio together...

"Naturally this new track raised suspicions about his on-again-off-again relationship with Selena Gomez, wondering if this melancholy number is about her."

What do you think? Isn't it a little weird that Mayweather and Justin Beiber are best friends? Why is T.I. picking fights with Floyd friggin' Mayweather?
