Love and Hip Hop: Atlanta’s Waka Flocka Flame and Tammy Rivera have reportedly eloped. The rapper and reality show star had a secret wedding despite him cheating on her.
RumorFix recently spoke with Waka Flocka Flame’s mother Debra Antney about her son’s elopment:
“I was selfish. I wanted to be a part of it...they got a marriage license about two weeks ago without me knowing it…[He] kept his word. He said that he was going to marry her and he did it on his terms. It was very cute to me...I’m happy. He’s very responsible.”
Earlier in the year, Waka’s then fiance, Tammy Rivera spoke with Sister 2 Sister about the joining the cast of Love and Hip Hop: Atlanta:
“It was kind of up and down because it’s new for me. I had to get adapted..I have trust issues so it was weird letting people into my life. It was kind of like walking on egg shells. They were very soft I would say in the way that they approached--very mindful--because I was kind of standoffish. But the longer I filmed the more comfortable I became with letting down my guard.”
The show has apparently been trying to get Rivera on the cast for since the beginning:
“I was approached the first season. I wasn’t interested. It just wasn’t the right time in my life. It’s just a point right now in my life where for the first time with my fiancé I feel stable. I feel grounded. I feel blessed, and he’s more comfortable in our relationship. It’s just a time right now where we feel like it’s okay to let people in. We’re not perfect, but I’m ready….We’ve been through hell and high water, so I doubt if this TV show can even compare to half the stuff I’ve been through with this man. This right here, this is small peanuts for us.”
