Fox 'Wanna Marry Harry' TV Show Matt Hicks Talks Contestants and Royal Lies on Dating Game Series

Fox latest reality dating game TV show star Matt Hicks may not have quiet known what he was getting into when he first signed on to play Prince Harry on the networks newest offering I Wanna Marry Harry, but he had a better idea about what was going on than the contestants did. The 24-year-old environmental consultant admitted that he was fairly ill-prepared for all the questions the girls asked him about his character, but since none of them knew any royals, he just fed them lies.

It's hard to say if environmental consultant Matt Hicks hit the jack-pot or not by landing a role on American television pretending to be Prince Harry form his native England.

Matt knows that he has probably opened himself up for a lifetime of being the butt of bar jokes, but he told In Touch Magazine that it was some of the most fun he has ever had:

"I've opened myself up for mockery for the rest of my days...But it was blast

Matt told the publication that the hardest part about the whole farce wasn't memorizing the facts, it was dealing with the questions he hadn't been given answers for:

"I had to learn about his military career...I also studied up on his friends, pas scandals, where he likes to hang out and his ex-girlfriends.

"[But] someone would blindside me: what about this detail.

"I'd try to divert the conversation or play mysterious."

Thankfully for Matt and the rest of the Fox crew, Matt had a lot of help keeping the illusion alive (via In Touch):

"We had fake paparazzi and security and I was living in the castle with servants, so most of them came to the conclusion that I was him."

Matt admitted to Us Weekly, that even with all the training and the people for props, it was still very difficult to convince all the girls that he was legit:

"So were skeptical, which is why I had to have my background knowledge.

"I'd talk about university, but Harry didn't go to university...So I'd cover up: "When I was visiting a friend..."

Despite all his insight interviews about what it was like preparing and performing on the show, Matt is keeping tight lipped about the winner of the series- -must be all the military training.
