‘Fast and Furious 7’ Cast Update: Paul Walker Autopsy Alive After Crash; Romeo Santos Joins; Insurance Negotiations Breakdown?

Fast and Furious 7 is back on track to make it's April 2015 deadline thanks to facial-replacement technology and the help of Paul Walker's brothers Cody and Caleb. Latin pop sensation Romeo Santos has also just been named as a last-minute addition to the cast. In a legal update, it has reportedly been revealed that Universal's record setting movie insurance claim negotiations with Fireman's Fund Insurance Company have broken-down after the studio tried to stick it's insurers with $50 million worth of the bill. The Fireman's Group are supposed to reimburse Universal for the extra costs associated with replacing Paul Walker, whose autopsy revealed was still alive immediately after the tragic car crash that ultimately led to his death.

Fast and Furious 7 are having to add all sorts of folks to fill the hole in the sscript left by Pail Walker's sudden and tragic death late last November.

Besides having already brought in Kurt Russell in addition to Paul's two brothers to act as stand-in/replacements, the producers have added Latin singing sensation Romeo Santos to the already crowded bill.

According to Deadline none other than Vin Diesel made the announcement, during a sold-out Santos show the other night:

"Latin-American singer Romeo Santos is revving up for a role in Universal's Fast & Furious 7.

"Former lead singer of the Bachata group Aventura was joined Thursday night onstage...by Fast & Furious franchise star Vin Diesel, who made the announcement.

"Santos's role has yet to be revealed."

The films financiers are duking it out over who is going to be fitting the part of the bill that is a direct result of the complications arising from replacing Paul Walker after his death.

The highly esteemed Hollywood Reporter, they have a source that swears that Universal and their Fast franchise insurer Fireman's Fund are on the outs:

"Fireman's Fund is not on the hook for the entire cost of finishing the movie because Universal must pay what it would have cost to complete the project had the accident not occurred

"An informed source says the insurer and Universal are at odds over how much of the ongoing work was necessitated by Walker's death and how much cost the studio would have incurred regardless as it finished the movie."

Mo' money, mo' problems...well not for Paul Walker, of course.
