The Billboard charts always seem to be changing as artist vie for the top spot and classical music section of the charts are no different.
Jackie Evancho who has sat at the apex of the classical charts has slid down and out of nowhere a well established orchestra has taken the mantle of top act in the classical contemporary world.
Here are the top five classical music albums.
At No. 1 on the Billboard charts knocking off child prodigy Jackie Evancho is the London Symphony Orchestra. The LPO and their album "The Greatest Video Game Music 2," was not even in the top ten a few days ago, the British based ensemble claims the top spot with music covering games like "The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim" and "Street Fighter II."
As mentioned young Jackie Evancho was displaced from the top spot on the charts and falls to No. 2. Evancho is continuing her tour of the United States performing songs from her album "Songs From The Silver Screen."
At No. 3 on the Billboards is Dutch violinist Andre Rieu with his "Home For The Holidays," album and he is down from his last spot No. 2 on the charts. Rieu is coming off a good year with the Dutchman scoping up multiple awards.
"This Is Christmas," by Welsh singer Katherine Jenkins is down one spot to No. 4. She was recently on ABC's "Dancing With the Stars," with fellow Billboard artist Placido Domingo where the duo did a rendition of "Come what May."
"The Piano Guys," have slipped from No. 2 to No.5 on the charts in recent weeks. The Internet sensations are making the charts with their self entitled album "The Piano Guys."
