After Retired Gary Payton Slams Stephen Curry, Reveals He Cried At Movie

Notorious smack talker Gary Payton always has a few choice sound bites up his sleeve. But the retired Hall of Famer has laid down some real nuggets lately. After slamming Golden State Warriors point guard Stephen Curry last month, the Glove recently revealed that he has only cried during one movie. At least that's his story.

Small, but tough, and always tough talking Payton had some commentary and advice for just about everyone in the league including Stephen Curry last month (via TMZ):

"Gary Payton was leaving Mastro's Steakhouse in Bev Hills when he talked about some of HIS favorite players in the NBA ... guys like Kevin Durant, LeBron and Westbrook.

"But after complimenting the entire lot, Payton threw it down -- saying, 'But you know what? I'm the Hall of Famer, so you gotta ride with that!

"'When they get to my level, then they can talk to me!'

"We also asked how he felt about the Lakers, Knicks and Celtics all missing the playoffs and Gary dropped another gem - 'It happens. Get a better team. Get a better organization!'"

His insight was actually into how the game is very different than it was back in the day, citing how few players were true point guards.

But that's not all the Glove had to say to TMZ. Monday night Gary Payton was dishing on what movies didn't make him cry. Titanic? Heck no. The Notebook? "It was cool, but I ain't cryin'." After professing his love for action-oriented comic book movies, Payton eventually opened up and admitted that there was one movie that made him cry: Taye Digg's Best Man Holiday.

It's ok to cry, Gary. We know you're still the man.

What do you think? What movies make you cry?
