‘Star Wars’ J.J.Abrams Cancelled ‘Revolution’ Series Finale Spoilers After ‘Almost Human’ Netflix Renewal Rumors

SPOILER ALERT: Star Wars Episode 7 director J.J. Abrams didn’t have much luck on the small screen this year. Three show’s produced by the geek king have been canceled. Tonight NBC’s Revolution airs its series finale. The series is joining Believe and Almost Human on the list of failed J.J.Abrams 2014 shows. However, Almost Human may find some new life. An online petition to renew the show is gaining some ground, and has even drawn the attention of Netflix.

The series finale of Revolution airs tonight on NBC. The official plot synopsis for tonight’s all new episode, titled "Declaration of Independence," reads:

“In the series finale, Miles' crew plan an attack on the Patriots, but then they're forced to improvise because of a war between other parties. Meanwhile, Neville goes after President Davis; and Aaron and Rachel try to save Priscilla.”

Fans of the series at least get some closure tonight instead of the series being canceled mid-season. The finale episode of Revolution airs tonight at 8:00 p.m. on NBC.

The J.J. Abrams produced, sci-fi cop drama, Almost Human was also canceled following it’s freshman season. However, devote fans have banded together and have started a Change.org petition has been proposed to save the show. The petition is addressed of virtually every major broadcast network, including Amazon and Netflix. The round robin document pleas for the series renewal”

“Recently it was announced that FOX would be cancelling TV series, Almost Human, after only one short season. We (the petitioners) are asking for your network to help us save the series from certain demise by taking it over. Almost Human has already gained hordes of loyal fans around the world that are currently fighting to save a series they can easily relate and find joy in. The series has much potential and needs individuals to believe and share that passion. We are asking that you see the potential for this series, and allow it to become something great with the network.”

A rep from Netflix has responded to the petition, adding:

“It's great to hear from fans and we've heard your interest in reviving Almost Human. I'm not the best exec to get this sort of petition but I've passed the interest to our content team. You can be sure that they will look at it. Best, D.”
