Jon Bon Jovi's daughter, Stephanie Rose Bogiovi, was arrested at her college in upstate New York on Wednesday for drug possession, according to ABC News.
Kirkland Police Department arrested the 19-year-old after police found marijuana, heroin and other drug paraphernalia in her dorm room at the Hamilton College in Clinton, New York.
According to reports, Bogiovi was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance, criminal possession of marijuana and criminally using drug paraphernalia, all are class-A misdemeanors. She was also charged with unlawful possession of marijuana. She was released on appearance tickets and must appear in court at a later date. When ABC tried to contact Bon Jovi a rep for him declined to comment.
Police also arrested student Ian S. Grant. He was arrested and charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance after police discovered a small quantity of heroin.
When police arrived at the Hamilton dorm around 2 a.m. reports say they found a female who was "unresponsive."
Investigator Peter Cania told the Associated Press that she was recovering in hospital.
Us Weekly got a statement from Hamilton College acknowledging the incident and announced they're working with police to deal with the issue.
"In addition to violating state law, the actions alleged to have been committed by the students violate Hamilton College policy," the statement read. "The college is cooperating with the police investigation. Our first concern is always for the safety of our students. Out of respect for the privacy of our students and in accordance with federal regulations, we do not discuss individual health or disciplinary matters."
