Former NFL Dirty Bird Jamal Anderson Hilarious Fantasy TV Blog YouTube Recap, Newt Gingrich Beef [VIDEO] [SPOILERS]

Jamal Anderson is really into HBO's fantasy TV show Game of Thrones. He even publishes a weekly blog on TMZ. As hilarious as it is insightful, the former NFL running back and inventor of the "dirty bird" victory dance is gaining some popularity. But this week's recap has had a flash animation makeover on YouTube. Elsewhere Anderson can be seen gearing up for a beef with Newt Gingrich over gay rights.

You can read Classicalite's James Knight's excellent most recent recap here (contains spoilers):

It's clear from his passionate writing that Anderson is intelligent while retaining a street-wise vocab. It's also clear that he is a devoted fan of the series, and yet has a light-hearted and humorous writing style that balances the often macabre tone of the Medieval fantasy program (via TMZ):

"Back to our favorite dwarf in a dungeon, Tyrion Lannister. A visit from an old ally doesn't bode well for Tyrion. Bronn, his former right hand man is moving in prosperous circles now without him. His life has meaning. So much for the plan of Bronn being Tyrion's champion is his trial by combat. Who can blame Bronn? Nobody wants to fight the Mountain...

"BTW -- admit it, you suddenly want a piece of kidney pie."

Et cetera, et cetera. Anderson's blog is a fun read, but it gets even funnier when read aloud by a creepy computer voice.

You can watch the flash animation video re-enactment of Anderson's Game of Thrones recap here:

Although he has been no angel (drugs, DUI) Anderson is certainly a positive modern voice in sports culture as an analyst and commentator, recently speaking out against the right (namely Newt Gingrich) over the hateful backlash toward openly gay NFL Draftee Michael Sam. Anderson's thoughtful voice may ring loud and clear in the months to come, and not just about dragons?

What do you think? Is Jamal Anderson the unlikely champion of nerd culture and LGBT rights?
