New England Patriots Aaron Hernandez Murder Trial, Former Beat Down Victim In Same Jail

Aaron Hernandez, former tight end for the New England Patriots is on trial for murder and awaiting trial for a related double murder in 2012. Hernandez is now in jail with a man he beat down in the same jail back in February.

Hernandez got into a fight with inmate Andrew Booker in Bristol County Jail in February. Reports indicate the two knew each other somehow and went at it, Hernandez getting the better end of the encounter. Now they're back together again (via NESN):

"Booker was released in March, about a month after he got into an altercation with the former New England Patriots tight end, but he was arrested May 2 for possession of cocaine and a knife, according to TMZ, and has returned to Bristol pending his court case. Sources told TMZ that officials are keeping Booker and Hernandez away from each other to avoid another incident between the inmates."

At the time of the incident with Booker, Hernandez was facing charges for killing Lloyd Odin, a former associate. Developments in that case have also led the District Attorney to move forward with the 2012 murder charges as well (via Boston Globe):

"Aaron Hernandez was charged Thursday with fatally shooting two Cape Verdean immigrants in July 2012, one week before the star tight end reported to training camp.

"Daniel Abreu, 28, and Safiro Furtado, 29, friends who worked together as housekeepers, had a 'chance encounter' with Hernandez at Cure, a Theatre District nightclub, that ended with Hernandez shooting the two men to death after they left the club and were waiting at a traffic light on Shawmut Avenue, Suffolk District Attorney Daniel F. Conley said Thursday."

What do you think? Is Hernandez guilty? What might his motive have been? What are the chances Andrew Booker is involved with the murders?
