The hottest new name in professional wrestling is Flair! No, that can't be right. Could it? Yes it seems the Nature Boy Ric Flair finally has an offspring who can follow in his footsteps. Ladies and gentlemen, meet the NXT big WWE Superstar Charlotte!
Charlotte Flair has more than her father's good name to pull her up the through the ranks of the increasingly competitive women's wrestling market- she's got game. As well as a couple of high school state championship trophies in volleyball, Charlotte makes her living as a personal trainer. That is, when she's not kicking people's heads in.
She's not bypassing the hard stuff either. Flair started at the bottom like everyone else (via The Inquisitr):
"The 28-year-old is working her way up the wrestling ranks, trying to make a name in the WWE's developmental territory, NXT Wrestling. Ric Flair's daughter - whose real name is Ashley Fliehr but wrestles as Charlotte - has already staked a claim within the league...
"As she won more matches, Charlotte started to adopt a larger persona within the league. In February she took on NXT Women's Champion Paige and defeated challenger Emma in a match in which she faked an injury to gain an advantage."
Despite the double-edged sword of having a famous parent, Ashley/Charlotte seems poised to rise to the even higher expectations people will have of her.
But just because she is paying her dues doesn't mean she can't also pay homage to her dear old dad in the ring. Her finishing move? The Figure Four Headlock.
So what's it like having Ric Flair for an old man? We don't know yet. Training wrestlers are forbidden to give interviews. Flair insists that although he was a horrible husband he has a good relationship with Charlotte.
