Like other addictions, gambling addiction is a treatable disease. 12-step programs have proven to be particularly helpful. All of the Mega Millions member lotteries support and encourage the work of groups like Gamblers Anonymous and the National Council on Problem Gambling to combat gambling addiction and encourage responsible play. If you think you or a loved one may have a gambling addiction, or if you want to learn more, you can call the National Council on Problem Gambling's confidential 24-hour hotline: 800-522-4700.”
