SPOILER ALERT: All of your favorite CW stars gathered together last week for the networks big upfront celebrations. Among the list of stars was, Supernatural's Jared Padalecki, Jensen Ackles, and Misha Collins. The Originals Joseph Morgan and his new fiance Porscha White. Arrow’s Stephen Amell even spent some time with his former The Vampire Diaries co-star, Nina Dobrev following the onscreen death of Ian Somerhalder’s Damon.
What a week it was for the CW. The network came ended most of it’s current series with a bang. Among the finals we saw were, Reign, Arrow, The Originals and the bloody Vampire Diaries Season 5 send off.
During the TVD finale, several big changes were made to the lineup. Not only did we see the return of Matt Davis, Alaric and Michael Malarkey’s Enzo, but we also Lost (See what we did there) Ian Somehalder’s Damon and Kat Graham’s Bonnie.
TVD executive producer Julie Plec recently spoke to TV Guide about the fate of Bonnie and Damon:
“Their fate is a mystery. The best way to sum it up is that all of our characters have had to come to terms with the fact that they are gone and have taken steps to move forward in their lives, for better or for worse, in grief or denial, and the question of when we see them and where are they and what happened is a part of the mystery in Season 6.”
Meanwhile, Nina Dobev has found some comfort in Stephen Amell. The actess reunited with her former TVD castmate and current Arrow star. Amell posted a picture of himself and Dobrev along with the caption:
“I'm glad Nina Dobrev got over the fact I chased her through the woods and tried to kill her.”
During a recent pre-upfronts event CW President Mark Peodwitz praised the networks performance, stateing:
“It is actually our most-watched season since 2010-11. Our new hit series The Originals, paired with Supernatural on a new night, doubled our ratings year-to-year on Tuesday nights. The 100, which premiered at midseason, was our most-watched series premiere of the season and was the most-watched show in its time period in almost four years. And Reign has boosted the audience in its time period on Thursday nights.”
