Michael Pitt New ‘Hannibal’ Episode Spoilers After Season 3 Renewal: Jonathan Rhys Meyers ‘Dracula’ Canceled by NBC

NBC’s Hannibal is all new tonight with the last episode before next week's season finale. The show starring Mads Mikkelsen stepped its game up during the second season, adding Boardwalk Empire’s Michael Pitt to the cast. The show has since earned itself a third season renewal. However, Jonathan Rhys Meyers Dracula was not so lucky. The series was recently canceled by the network.

The official plot synopsis for Friday's all new episode of Hannibal, titled “Tome-Wan,” reads:

“Will shares his visions with Hannibal in a therapy session. Meanwhile, veiled threats come into play in Mason's session with Hannibal; Jack produces an unexpected witness from the past to help in the Hannibal case; and Hannibal's life is threatened, which forces Will to make a decision.”

Recently the show’s executive producer, Bryan Fuller spoke to TV Guide about the show this week.

“We have this communion between Will and Hannibal where they have ortolan bunting, which is this debauched delicacy. You eat a songbird that has been drowned in armagnac alive and plucked and roasted. It's the sinful affront to God. In that [scene], we talk about who Will's becoming and how the radiance of Freddie Lounds' murder has to fuel who he's to become. We want the audience to think that Will actually did kill her, but it's all part of a long con that Will and Jack Crawford have engineered to trap Hannibal. When Freddie stands up and says, ‘How was my funeral?’ we know that Will is actually as good a fisherman as he promised Jack he was... Episode 12 is one of my favorites of the season because it is so bonkers. It's bonkers by way of Michael Pitt having the time of his life with this performance. He's so fun in it and such a bastard. And yes, Mason Verger is activated in a big way.”

Hannibal airs Friday night at 10:00 p.m. on NBC.
