Savannah Guthrie Confirms Married Katie Couric Matt Lauer Pregnant Baby ‘Today’ Show Replacement [RUMORS]

It has been rumored that Kaite Couric would be taking her old job back at the Today show alongside long-time friend Matt Lauer when pregnant Savannah Guthrie is out on maternity leave with her new baby. Katie is going to be soon married to her fiancé John Molner, but she is letting him plan to entire wedding so her schedule is wide open. Guthrie recently revealed that she was made to understand that Today would be cycling through different co-hosts during her maternity leave, but did confirm that Katie Couric could be among them.

It has been suggested that Today show alum Katie Couric is going to be replacing co-host Savanah Guthrie during her maternity leave absence.

An NBC News staffer told the NY Daily News that the network was definitely considering bringing Katie back in to respark that old Matt Lauer legendary on-screen chemistry:

"It makes perfect sense...The viewers loved her and Matt Lauer together. This would be a chance to give them exactly what they want."

In an effort to drum up excitement and anticipation the NBC execs are keeping their plans pretty tight lipped.

According to an NBC News spokeswoman everyone is just going to have to wait and see what's up--when it's up (via NY Daily News):

"With the Today show in a good place, we are blessed with great talent and many options to temporarily fill Savannah's chair while she's on leave, but there's no plan yet...Stay tuned."

For her part Savanah Guthrie isn't exactly keeping things hush-hush, but she is keeping them cryptic.

Savanah didn't mind dropping a few names into the speculation bon-fire, but she didn't confirm anything (via Page Six):

"My understanding is it's going to be a rotating group of anchors. Most of them will be people that work at NBC right now, so Natalie [Morales], Hoda [Kotb], Tamron [Hall] Then there might be a couple of surprises mixed in."

And when directly asked if Katie Couric was going to be among the deluge of replacements to wash across the Today show desks, Guthrie kept it coy:

"I don't think they've decide."

With all this silly CYA BS it's almost impossible to tell is Katie is either not interested or NBC has just blown the deal, but thing is for sure.

When you land Katie Couric you don't keep quiet about it; just ask John Molner.
