Fast and Furious 7 is to be saved by none other than franchise hero Paul Walker's bother Caleb and Cody. Rumor has it that the duo will be replacing their brother in certain shots and scenes that were left incomplete following his fatal car crash last year. Cast member Ludacris says it's uncanny how much the boys look like their famous brother, whose autopsy reveled was still alive immediately following the accident. Despite the update by the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department that the tragic incident was the result of excessive speed alone, Roger Rodas' widow Kristine has reportedly decided to sue the automotive company the made the 2005 Carrera GT, Porsche.
Though you can hardly get a word out of the boys themselves about what their doing there, Fast and Furious 7 co-star Ludacris revealed that Caleb and Cody Walker looked remarkably like their famous older brother while recently on the set of the latest Fast franchise installment.
While taping an interview on with Ellen DeGeneres the Atlanta hip-hop artist said that Walker's absence is still felt, but at times having his brother's around can be unnerving--in a good way (via IBTimes):
"It's very difficult, we're all still healing from it and there is a void when we go on set.
"It's scary how much [Caleb and Cody] look like him and sound like him but it's a good thing."
Roger Rhodas, Paul's business manager, was driving the car the night that he and Walker were killed late last November in an accident that Los Angeles County Sheriff's Commander Mike Parker told CNN never needed to happen (via Latin Post):
"Investigators determined the cause of the fatal solo-vehicle collision was unsafe speed for the roadway conditions...between 80 and 93 mph at the time the car impacted a power pole and several trees."
The speed limit on that particular stretch of Office Park Road in Santa Clarita, Califorina, is reportedly just 45 miles an hour.
Despite those heart-breaking revelations Rhodas' widow Katherine has decided to sue Porsche Cars North America according to the Hollywood Reporter:
"Kristine Rodas filed the lawsuit in the Los Angeles County Superior Court on Monday, claiming that...' The Carrera GT was unsafe for its intended use by reason of defects in its manufacture, design, testing, component and constituents, so that it would not safely serve its purpose."'
Right...and who the hell planet those trees there in the first place? Obviously some negligent city planner hell bent on killing hapless motorists in their precision built fly-by-wire half-a-million dollar super-cars, that's who.
