CBS Cancels Jon Cryer’s ‘Two and Half Men’ Matthew Perry Returns To TV in ‘Odd Couple’ Reboot [UPFRONTS]

It is official, Two and A Half Men is about to end. The long-running CBS sitcom is getting canceled next year. The show has lost most of the original cast during it’s 11-year-run. Both Charlie Sheen and Angus T. Jones left the show a few years back for very different reasons, leaving only Jon Cryer. Meanwhile, CBS is hoping to keep the comedy genre alive by rehashing an old classic. The network is bringing back The Odd Couple with a little help from Friends star Matthew Perry.

IT was only a matter of time before Two and A Half Men ended. The hit show has suffered some in the ratings following the departure of Charlie Sheen. Ashton Kutcher has done a fair job of keeping the series alive, however, the actors high paycheck must be taking a toll on the networks budget. "

CBS' Nina Tassler announced the cancellation during a pre-upfront event, telling reporters:

"Chuck Lorre is creating a season-long event. We did very well last year with announcing final season of How I Met You Mother here, too. Chuck is very psyched about this; he's got some great ideas and very big surprises. We know fans and audiences respond to that and that should really give us a nice boost when we launch our new comedy."

Matthew Perry is still trying his hand at TV. The former Friends and Studio 60 actor will star, produce and write for the upcoming The Odd Couple reboot. Apparently, Perry has gotten bored with sitting at home and counting his millions.
