UFC Lorenz Larkin Tribute to The Ultimate Warrior After April Death

Since the Ultimate Warrior died April 8 his popularity has exploded. Always a fan favorite, Warrior had a mythical character that people responded strongly to. After his death, however, that mythical status Among his many fans were other wrestlers, and fighters of all stripes. Last Friday UFC fighter Lorenz Larkin paid tribute to the fallen legend by dressing up as the Warrior at Fight Night.

Looking to get a little edge, Larkin showed up Friday all decked out (via Sports World News):

"According to Wrestlingheadlines.com, Larkin paid tribute to The Warrior on UFC's Friday Night 40 weigh-ins by wearing a mask that looked like The Warrior's face paint, and adorning himself in brightly colored tassels and wristbands as The Warrior did when he wrestled...

"There have been many tributes to him outside of the WWE, including in Major League Baseball, and Larkin is the latest person outside of the realm of the WWE to honor the fallen wrestling legend and Hall of Famer."

Dressing up for the weigh-ins before Fight Night seemed like a good idea even though it ultimately didn't give him the edge.

The Ultimate Warrior had just received honors before his untimely passing (via Sports World News):

"The Warrior was inducted in to the WWE Hall of Fame on April 5... On RAW, he conducted a spine-chilling promo about life and death and the legacies WWE legends leave behind, even saying that one day every man breathes their final breath.

"Less than 24 hours later, The Warrior collapsed while walking to his car with his family at a hotel... It was later reported that The Warrior died of a cardiac episode that stemmed from heart disease. He was 54."
