A fight broke out at halftime during Tuesday night's NBA Playoff game between the Indiana Pacers and the Washington Wizards. Ok, that was cheap. When the players went into the locker room for halftime, the mascots took the court for a good old fashioned wrestling match. Also, Roy Hibbert disappears- again.
Here's how it went down, according to a guy who seems to try way too hard to convince us that he doesn't watch wrestling (via Washington Post):
"It started with some on-court braggadocio from Boomer, the Pacers mascot, although obviously this was not the real Boomer. It looked more like a mascot version of sweet potato fries, frankly. With baggy pants. Regardless, the scene then cut to G-Man, trapped in some unknown nether reaches of Verizon Center. But Ultimate Warrior's music came on, which meant good times were a-comin...Here's where it really got good... aligned the fake Boomer on a folding table, and then G-Man flew through the air... Boomer... tragically fell at least one or two feet onto a padded mat... and G-Man was declared the winner of the weirdest unannounced mascot pro wrestling bout I've ever seen."
Maybe the halftime show was some sort of voodoo because Washington ran away with the game, bringing the series to 3-2. But maybe it was just the inconsistency the Pacers have demonstrated all post-season. Roy Hibbert, a pivotal player for Indiana, has retreated back into his mind castle.
