Ok so this technically came out before Russell Wilson announced that he and wife Ashton were getting a divorce, but it might be a missing clue as to why their relationship went sour. There is still no new information on why Golden Tate denied cheating rumors that hadn't really started yet, so that might still be a legitimate issue. But something interesting has been overlooked; after showing up on the set of Entourage, Russell Wilson might be gearing up for a movie career?
Everyone has been baffled and intrigued by the April announcement of Russell and Ashton's divorce. First there were whispers that he was gay. Then somehow rumors of infidelity went from a whisper to a scream when former teammate Golden Tate unleashed a furious denial of his involvement on Twitter, seemingly before anyone had implicated him (via Seattle Weekly News):
"It was off-the-wall speculation. And it seemed to be dying a deserved death. Then an odd thing happened. Without being asked, Wilson's former teammate, Golden Tate, denied he'd had an affair with Wilson's wife.
"It's not clear if there had been a specific accusation that Tate-Wilson's talented receiver, who recently signed with the Detroit Lions-was referring to. But he apparently had read or heard someone claim that he was the Other Man. Rather than allow another seemingly wild guess to fade away, Tate responded, stating that he and his girlfriend Elise Pollard were friends with the Wilsons-nothing more."
So that still bears further explanation perhaps. But one unturned stone in the whole circus is the rapidly changing lifestyle post Super Bowl. Wilson is doing commercials now, and back in March Wilson appeared on the set of the upcoming Entourage movie, posing for photographs (via TMZ):
"Rob Gronkowski might not be the only athlete with a role in the 'Entourage' movie ... 'cause Russell Wilson was spotted on set today and all clues point to cameo.
"The Seattle Seahawks quarterback posed for photos with members of the cast -- including Jeremy Piven and Kid Cudi, who's reportedly playing Ari Gold's new assistant."
What do you think? Has Russell Wilson gone Hollywood?
