Now that Arrow Season 2 is over, Stephen Amell is stepping up to save more than just Starling City. Stephen Amell is calling on all of his fans to support the charity, Prayers For Sophie. The charity is devoted to helping a very brave toddler who suffers from rare Optic Pathway Glioma brain tumor. Amell is auctioning off Arrow memorabilia on Ebay and matching the winning bid. Talk about a real life hero.
Earlier in the week, Stephen Amell pleaded with his fans to join him for a good cause. The Arrow actor took to Facebook to promote the cause:
“So very excited about this... We're auctioning off our very first item for charity (!!!) through eBay, a signed Oliver Queen statue. I will inscribe anything you want. 100% of the proceeds will go to Prayers for Sophie - I will literally be cutting a check for the exact amount!!””
Amell took some time out of Wednesday's season finale to plug the auction once again, writing:
“Here's an update on our auction. With just under 5 days to go we're sitting at $25,500. I'm flabbergasted. Here's the link: https://r.ebay.com/4KZUo1
“Wanted to bring something up. This auction is for a wonderful cause--Prayers for Sophie--and has raised much more than I ever thought possible. I'd kindly ask people not to bid unless they have a registered history with eBay and an impeccable feedback rating. I've changed the settings on eBay going forward, but it doesn't apply to this auction. We've had plenty of reputable bids and I'm not worried, I'd just hate to see something like this jeopardized.
“Let's continue to be awesome and raise a bunch of cash for an amazing family. xo”
