SPOILER ALERT: Arrow is all new tonight with what is bound to be a killer Season 2 finale. Stephen Amell has promised us “movie” level stunts in the new episode. That is not all, we have also been treated to a special first look at The Flash. Check out the trailer below to The Emerald Archer and The Scarlet Speedster in action.
Stephen Amell recently spoke to Entertainment Weekly about how tonight’s fight scene is better than any other, including the freighter fight earlier in the season. Amell wanted all of his fans to be aware of his comments so he reposted them to his Facebook:
“We blow up the freighter and we flood it with water, and we have a massive fight in the middle of it. The fight sequence between Slade and I at the end of this finale, not to mention the massive Braveheart-style brawl in the middle of the finale, is by far the best stuff that we’ve done. If we can’t win the stunt Emmy for this episode, then the system is broken, for sure. I’m starting a campaign, because it’s movie s**T that we do in this finale. And because of our production schedule, it had to be the actors, and we had to do it on the fly. It’s incredible. It’s an incredible sequence of events.”
Tonight’s episode also featured a sneak peek first look at Grant Gustin as The Flash.
Geoff Johns, DC comics chief creative officer, recently spoke with Comic Book Resources about Gustin’s portrayal of the Scarlet Speedster:
"He's earnest. Grant as an actor, he's brought more to Barry Allen then I think we've seen before, especially seeing him in the days of when he's taking his first steps. He's got that heart. He's got humor. He's got compassion--Barry was always a nice guy. He's the guy that stops, makes sure everyone's alright and then keeps going. Grant embodies that."
