Instagram beauty Taylor Swift isn't dating anyone at the moment, since last being dumped by Theo James' Divergent entourage before even getting her little 'Red' foot in the dating door. Taylor's friend Ed Sheeran is glad that didn't work out anyway; the "I See Fire" singer thinks the "22" star should make model Miranda Kerr's aging Hobbit ex-husband Orlando Bloom her next boyfriend despite his reportedly being attached to Justin Bieber's old rehab reject, Spring Breakers girlfriend Selena Gomez.
Though millions of fans of both pop star Ed Sheeran and country music vixen Taylor Swift would love to see the talented pair make a talented couple, Ed is more than a little reluctent.
Not only is Sheeran terrified of what dating Taylor would do to his reputation, should they ever split--he is already dating some other "top secret" girlfriend.
Eddie doesn't think Taylor should remain single, lonely pining for him alone; Sheeran told Us Weekly that Orlando Bloom would make the perfect boyfriend for Swift, despite being more than a dozen years her senior.
Though Selena Gomez fans might bristle at the idea of Taye Taye moving in on the girl's territory, a friend of Hollywood's latest hot-mess explained that Orlando was acting more as an older brother than an older lover to the Disney burn-out (via Hollywood Life):
"Orlando has been really supportive of Selena and has even invited her to chant with him at a Buddhist meeting.
"He says chanting helps people turn poison into medicine and it doesn't matter what religion you practice, anyone can benefit from chanting.
"He's a good friend for someone like Selena."
Whatever happens between Taylor and her next heartache, let's hope that it goes better than her attempt to woo Divergent hunk Theo James.
An insider told OK! Magazine that when Swift tried to make a move to get a little something-something going between her 'Red' tour dates, all she got was shot down:
"[Taylor] asked her friend Hailee Steinfeld to ask Theo's friend Douglas Booth, another British actor, if there was a chance they could meet up for a date in Los Angeles.
"But Douglas told Taylor to go away!..He wasn't interested, despite the fact she confirmed she was a Divergent fanatic."
Guess she should have brought up Theo's work in Underworld instead.
