After Public Intoxication Arrest, Shaun White Crashes Prom, Band Bad Things

After Shaun White's 2012 Arrest for public intoxication the Flying Tomato did what most of us do in our late 20's- he cut his hair and straightened up his act. White is much more practical these days, even when crashing a high school fan's prom, and playing with his band Bad Things.

Shaun White sure has grown up a lot in the last couple of years. Just two years ago he was the hard-partying extreme sports star who got arrested for public intoxication at Patrick Carney's wedding. After that it seems as though the two-time Olympic Snowboarding Champion is the savvy young businessman who carefully controls his brand.

In what was probably a carefully calculated public relations move, but was too awesome for anyone to notice or care, White recently crashed a fan's prom:

"A high school senior in Pennsylvania got the surprise of her year when Olympian Shaun White showed up at her prom.

"Carly Monzo sent White a video earlier this year asking him to the big dance. But according to CBS Philly, she never heard back and hadn't really thought about it on her prom night.

"But during the dance, she was called to the stage - and White, along with his band, was there to greet her 'It was crazy,' she told the TV station. 'On the stage that was there - they just dropped the curtains. I turned around. I was speechless.'"

In a January profile for New York Times Elizabeth Weil wrote that White has been making a concentrated effort to be more likeable, both in his sport and in general. The grown-up Shaun White might not be as rebellious or cool as he was when he was 22, but he seems a whole lot easier to be around.

What do you think? If you could invite any celebrity to your prom, who would it be?
