Lost ‘Tribes:’ ‘Supernatural Bloodlines’ Canceled, New CW Spin-Off Coming? [GHOSTFACERS]

Well Supernatural fans, we have good and bad for you...well that all depends. The Supernatural spin-off Bloodlines, ( formerly known as Tribes) has not been picked up. The network has canceled the planned series following the poor reception to the backdoor pilot, however, the network is still planning on spinning off the long-running series. Could their be a Ghostfacers series?

That didn’t last long. Supernatural: Bloodlines has been canned following the poor reception of the backdoor pilot.

Some of our readers commented on the lackluster episode, voicing their disdain for the spin-off that will never be:

“Been watching Supernatural from the beginning ... but this bloodline thing is terrible....”

Fans also added their own suggestions adding

An unnamed user invoked the name of beloved Ghostfacers, adding:

“Sounds ok but a Ghostfacers or Bobby prequel would be better.”

Super Supernat also added:

Supernatural: Men of Letters is a better spin-off with Henry Winchester. Giving us a bigger storyline and origins that could give us interesting stories!!”

With such a poor reception, The CW will not be missing the could-be series. During the Upfronts event, CW president Mark Pedowitz spoke to TV Guide about the past season:

“It is actually our most-watched season since 2010-11. Our new hit series The Originals, paired with Supernatural on a new night, doubled our ratings year-to-year on Tuesday nights. The 100, which premiered at midseason, was our most-watched series premiere of the season and was the most-watched show in its time period in almost four years. And Reign has boosted the audience in its time period on Thursday nights.”
