SPOILER ALERT: Tonight is the Season 1 of finally of the hit Vampire Diaries spin-off The Originals. Don’t worry the show will be back next season. The CW renewed the series earlier in the year. That means all your favorite vamps and werewolves will be back next year, with a possible addition. Hayley’s (Pheobe Tonkin) baby bump is about bust. Check out the preview below to see what kind of father Joseph Morgan thinks Klaus will be.
The official plot synopsis for tonight’s all new Season 1 finale, titled “From a Cradle to a Grave,” reads:
“Season 1 ends with Hayley trying to protect her unborn baby from the witches. Meanwhile, Francesca meets with Oliver and Jackson to determine the future of the werewolves in New Orleans; and Davina and Cami join forces to take down Klaus, who is forced to make a heartbreaking decision.”
With the baby on the way, fans are wondering if fatherhood will change Klaus. Joseph Morgan recently sat down with TV Guide, where they discussed just that:
"I hope so. There is certainly potential for it. If Klaus sees the baby or gets to hold the baby, I don't know if it'll make him go more in that [nurturing] direction or send him the other way. I can see him not being able to handle it. With him becoming a father it's interesting to see how that affects his bloodlust."
Morgan also opened up TVLine about his fatherly feelings:
“It’s the one thing that’s kept Klaus’ humanity. He’s slowly coming around to the idea of this baby, and if that baby isn’t born--or is killed after it’s born, or is taken from him--that will send him down a very dark path. And he’s made so much progress this season, it would be a shame.”
Check out the season finale of The Originals tonight on the CW at 8:00 p.m.
