The CW’s hit show Arrow is gearing up it’s big second season finale. When we last left Starling City, it was under attack from the forces of Deathstroke, and about to blown off the map as a result. Good thing Oliver Queen is on the job. However, Stephen Amell is not just content to save the city, Now that Arrow is done filming, Amell is focusing his attention on the greater good. Stephen Amell is playing the hero in life. Amell is spearheading (or we should we say arrow-heading) a charitable cause. The Arrow actor is auctioning off Arrow memorable for Prayers For Sophie.
Sophie is a brave young woman who suffers a rare Optic Pathway Glioma brain tumor. Amell has taken up Sophie’s cause.
Amell has placed a signed Arrow statue on ebay. The proceeds will go to Sophie. To make things even better, Amell will match the amount raised. Amell then called upon his fanbase via Facebook, asking:
“So very excited about this... We're auctioning off our very first item for charity (!!!) through eBay, a signed Oliver Queen statue. I will inscribe anything you want. 100% of the proceeds will go to Prayers for Sophie - I will literally be cutting a check for the exact amount!!””
Amell latter updated the post, writing:
“ Item is already over $10k. Amazing. For future instances, I'm looking into a raffle option where people can please $5 bids... this seems like a nice way to start though. Amazing work Facebook. Let's turn this page into a philanthropic monster!!!”
Additional Update: at the time of publishing the statue had reached a bid of $25,100.00.
It is not to late to win the statute and help Sophie.
You can join the fight here.
The season finale of Arrow airs this Wednesday at 8:00 p.m. on The CW.
