Tonight is a big night for TV. It is that time of year for all of our favorite network show’s to say goodbye for the summer. Unfortunately, that means we have to bid a temporary farewell to ABC’s Castle. The season finale of the hit series airs tonight. Have no fear Nathan Fillion fans. Not only will the Firefly star be live tweeting tonight’s new episode, but you can soon see him once again take to the skies in Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy.
The official plot synopsis for tonight’s season finale of Castle, titled “For Better or Worse,” reads:
“In the sixth-season finale, Castle and Beckett prepare for their wedding. However, an unwelcome surprise may ruin things, so they embark on a zany adventure, encountering masked men and mad bikers along the way.”
Always the charmer, Nathan Fillion recently teased that he plans on live tweeting tonight’s season finale, asking fans:
“Don't I owe you guys a live tweet for Castle? What about Monday? You free Monday?”
Fillion recently flipped his wig on David Letterman, when he did the old “hairpiece,” trick. Check out the video of Fillion cracking up the funnyman:
Speaking of “failed” TV show’s, Fillion fans everywhere are still waiting for the actor to return to the verse in a Firefly reboot.
Recently, Firefly writer and producer Tim Minear told Entertainment Weekly about possibly bringing back the show:
“I would never foreclose the possibility. The fact that it was even a feature film after it spectacularly failed on Fox was a miracle. And of course it lives on in other forms. In terms of getting the band back together to make a new adventure, who knows? I would love it. It would be great. But first everybody has their respective projects that limits them from crossing over into other things. It’s just trying to coordinate everybody’s obligations so they could somehow participate.”
However, no such reboot is currently in the works. We will just to settle for Nathan Fillion’s cameo appearance in Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy. Recently Fillion revealed that he landed a role in his old pal James Gunn’s new superhero film. Following Fillion’s spoiler leak, Gunn tweeted:
“There is a cat running around my office let out of his respective bag. I have a feeling @NathanFillion has been in here.”
The season finale of Castle airs tonight at 10:00 p.m. on ABC.
