Cheating Canadian singer Robin Thicke is reportedly losing his wife Paula Patton to divorce despite his pleading and her feelings. Though Paula recently admitted that she still loves Robbie and perhaps always will, rumor has it that Thicke's rape culture criteria is just too much to live up to all the time. Friends say that Patton finally split because her husband thought his life should look like his "Blurred Lines" video all the time.
Canadian crooner Robin Thicke cast a hell of a spell on his wife Paula Patton over the years, but it seems his power over her has faded as his reputation for womanizing exploded.
In a recent interview with Vanity Fair Paula told the magazine that it wasn't going to be easy to put the memory of her love for Robin behind her (via Us Weekly):
"We've known each other since we were teenagers...All I can tell you is there's a deep love there--always was, and always will be.
"He wasn't my first kiss, but he was my first lots of other things."
But that doesn't necessarily mean that Patton wants Thicke back in her house.
A friend of Paula's told Star that in the end Robin wanted more that Patton was willing to give--now she doesn't really want him anymore:
"Not only did Robin have high expectations for Paula in the bedroom, he expected her to compliment him and his brand and demanded that she always be 'on' and looking her best in public.
"Paula was committed to Robin and would go to extreme lengths to make him happy, but in the end he always demanded more...Nothing could satisfy him.
"Paula has realized that their relationship has run its course...She has no plans for salvaging her marriage to Robin."
It can't be easy making to call to end a relationship after seemingly spending your whole adult lives together...and the pain of it is clearly destroying Robin.
Let's hope the depression doesn't kill him
