It was been clear for years that there were some serious issues between Pretty Woman actress, Julie Roberts and her estranged sister Nancy Motes--issues that were undoubtedly involved in her decision to commit suicide in early February of this year. Still many were shocked when Meryl Streep's movie co-star claimed at Nancy's funeral that her half-sister's call to kill herself was admirable because it was the right thing for her to do.
Julia Roberts it well known for treating her immediate family with malice and contempt, but few realized, until she spoke at her sister Nancy's funeral, just how pathological it is.
Julia's eulogy at her sister Nancy's funeral May 3, took many of the mourners in attendance off-guard when she started to wax poetic about the bright side of Nancy decision to kill herself in her friend's bath tub.
An eyewitness told the incorrigible Perez Hilton that Julia's speech was every bit as dark and twisted as the Nancy's final acts:
"Julia added that Nancy's...Gone and not coming back.
"Julia said that, as her sister, she just wanted to 'wring' her neck because she didn't wait to see the joy that comes with the morning...But they were even more stunned when she said that she actually admired Nancy for what she did!
"[She] insisted that 'her sister took control and ended her pain when she had no other tolls to cope with it...She said that she admired that she had the strength to do what she did, to end her pain.'"
Now that everything is all said and down, you really can start to appreciate Nancy's sentiments about her sister that she vented through grief and frustration on Twitter just days before she took her own life:
"So my 'sister' said that with all the friends and fans she doesn't need any more love.
"Just thought you all should know that 'Americ's Sweeheart' is a BITCH!"
"She's not even a good actress...Happy that you totally F-ked with me?"
Happy might be a little strong, but she certainly seems more relieved and inspired than sad...that's for certain.
