Good news TV Fans! Law & Order: SVU has officially been renewed for a 16th season. The long running NBC series is also all new tonight. Check the preview below for spoilers on tonight’s episode. The show recently promoted Donal Logue to series regular. However, that might not last long seeing as Logue has been cast to play Det Bullock on Fox’s Gotham. With all the Liv has been through lately, she could really use a friend. Fans are hoping that her old partner Stabler might stop back by the show.
The official plot preview for tonight’s all new episode of Law and Order: SVU, titled "Reasonable Doubt," reads:
“A TV producer is accused of molesting his daughter, but the cops suspect the accusations are a ploy when his estranged wife won't cooperate with them, yet she will speak with the media about the matter.”
Long time SVU cast member,B.D.Wong will return for this year’s season finale.
Fans are still holding out hope that they will get to see Elliot Stabler return to show. However, the Surviving Jack star is not likely to return anytime soon.
During the 2014, TV Critics Association press tour, Christopher Meloni told E! News about not coming back to the show:
"From where I sit right now, I spent 12 years there. It was a great experience. I loved all the people, I loved the character, I just feel at this point and time it's kind of been done, for me."
