New CW Show '100' Renewal Rumors & Spoilers: Last Episode Before Finale Five

The 100 is all new tonight on the CW following Arrow. There are only five episode left before the first season finale. The seems like a sure fire for renewal at the moment, however, after Arrow ends next week, the real test begins. Can the new show survive without it’s DC Comics lead in? Check the plot previews below for spoilers about tonight’s new showing.

The official plot synopsis for tonight’s all new episode, titled “Day Trip,” reads:

“Clarke and Bellamy search for supplies as winter nears. Meanwhile, Octavia helps a friend escape.”

Recently one of The 100’s many up and coming stars, Sachin Sahel, recently sat down with The Huffington Post about the state of TV:

“Television is in a new place. Many years of hard work and tenacity on the part of actors, writers and producers is finally paying off. The new age of television offers a viable option to explore full narratives. I believe television, like movie audiences want a story. In fact, they are demanding it and it can be seen in the success or failure of many of the newer projects...I think good television is about telling stories. These stories have a life and through-line and that allows viewers to connect with the characters. The 100 does just that, it pulls no punches as the characters are forced to make difficult decisions. It is a show about sacrifice but it is also about humanity. You won't find a great deal of fluff in this show as it is gritty and challenges life head on embracing universal struggles that are not simply faced by those living in this hostile world but are timely and timeless as well.”

From the looks of things, we will be seeing a second season The 100. The mid-season series has been doing pretty steady in the ratings. Next week The 100 loses it’s Arrow lead in. Do you think the show will still be able to hold it’s own? What do you think about the new show? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section below.
