Indiana Pacers Center Roy Hibbert's recent playoff struggles have been a major concern for teammates and the subject of many a joke at Hibbert's expense, most recently a diagram of an Xbox controller supposedly designed to make you suck as bad as Roy Hibbert is sucking right now.
On Monday Twitter account user Faux John Madden posted a mocking advertisement for a new Xbox Controller with special modifications to enable the player to be as ineffective as Hibbert. The 7 foot center has become virtually non-existent this playoff season (via Sporting News):
"Hibbert, who stands at 7-2, finished the night with no points, no rebounds and five fouls in 18 minutes played. After the game, Pacers coach Frank Vogel said he is surprised when any of his players don't do well on the court. That shock has to have worn off with Hibbert, though. It's worn off for Hibbert. The Pacers center got question after question about his struggles in the locker room. I just gotta come out and be aggressive. I gotta be a different Roy Hibbert than I have been.'"
While many have mocked Hibbert's seemingly supernatural and sudden loss of talent his teammates have stood beside him, saying this is a team matter (via Sporting News):
"We're still with him," Paul George said. "We're still with him through this process. He's going to find a way through. We need him now, but I have faith that along the way he's going to find himself. But, again, we're at a point where we're really going to need Roy and we really need him now."
What do you think? Should the Pacers bench the recently ineffective Roy Hibbert and try to modify their strategy? Or should they stand by their teammate and hope he wakes up in time to help them bounce back?
