Mario Swain a native of Texas was sent to death by the court system there for a murder in which he committed in 2002.
Swain killed 44-year old Lola Nixon when he tried to break into her home just after Christmas this according to webpronews.com.
Prosecutors of the case said that Mario Swain had the intention of committing more killings and believe he was on his way to murder others before authorities caught to him and arrested him.
"A girlfriend told us he kept a list in notebooks of names and license plates of girls he would follow. I think he was working up to something," said prosecutor Lance Larison.
Swain according to reports beat, strangled, and stabbed Nixon to death before dumping her body in an abandoned car several miles away.
The case shows that there was sign of a struggle. Authorities say that Swain either drugs women beating them over the head to knock them out, or using a stun-gun on them before robbing them.
Swain was put to death by lethal injection and was pronounced dead at 6:39 p.m.local time at the state prison in Huntsville.
After Swain had committed the murder of Lola Nixon in her Longview, Texas home the criminal was quickly linked to a truck on her street by investigators and according to Yahoo News led officials to an abandoned car with Nixon's dead body inside.
Swain was the 13th prison to receive the death penalty in Texas alone and the 37th in the United States to meet this fate.
