Michael Jordan New Wife Baby Birth; Twins Arrive Before New Book [UPDATE]

Michael Jordan has a new book out which aims to explore the Hall of Fame baller's roots at a more in depth level than has been done before. Michael Jordan: The Life, which hits shelves today, is not the only bit of good news Jordan has celebrated recently. Back in February he and new wife Yvette welcomed identical twins into the world.

On February 9, Jordan and Yvette welcomed Victoria and Ysabel Jordan into their family. The twins are the couple's first children together- the two married last April in Palm Beach (via New York Daily News):

"Michael Jordan has more to be happy about than just the improved play of his NBA franchise...
Tuesday night Yvette Jordan, 35, gave birth to Victoria and Ysabel on Sunday in West Palm Beach, Fla. 'Yvette Jordan and the babies are doing well and the family is overjoyed at their arrival,' Portnoy said."

The twins are Jordan's fourth and fifth children; he and ex-wife Juanita Vanoy, who divorced in 2006, have two sons and a daughter.

In more recent news, yet another book on the superstar's life hits shelves today. The extensive new bio, entitled Michael Jordan: The Life, biographer Roland Lazenby aims to sift through the glamorous bullet points everyone knows, and fill in the gaps of Jordan's humble upbringing (via Sports Illustrated):

"Lazenby spends a good portion of the book writing about Jordan's family history, as well as the unmatched competitive drive that informed everything the six-time NBA champion has done on and off the court... Lazenby - who has also written books about Phil Jackson and Jerry West - attempts to go 'full circle,' bringing Jordan from awkward youth in Wilmington, N.C., to mythic superstar to struggling NBA owner. SI.com spoke with Lazenby about the book and the things that helped make Jordan into '23.'"

What do you think? Are you excited about the new babies? Is the new Jordan book going to shed new insight on one of America's most iconic athletes?
